Reflections

Well what can I say? You certainly masterminded a wonderful weekend. Thank you very much personally for all your conscientious hard work, and all the effort put in by the other members of the club.

I was honoured to have been part of your team with my participation as MC. To be MC for three consecutive evenings at such a prestigious event is clearly one of the high points of my Scottish Dance Life. I enjoyed it very much indeed and thank you once again for inviting me.

The weekend was so well organised - everything seemed to go very smoothly. The hotel was wonderful and the food delicious...

Everyone was very friendly and helpful and there was a very nice atmosphere among the dancers who all socialised well and helped each other in the classes and the evening dances.

Thank you for the wonderful days in Budapest and for a extremly well organized course in s.c.d.

It would have been a pity to miss that WE ! Wonderful atmosphere, fabulous teaching, great music, good company and outstanding venue. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the members of your team and especially to you. We've had ann exceptionally good time.

I just wanted to thank you for the invitation and to say well done for a great weekend course and such great organisation.

Thank you so much for all your hard work in making the recent Budapest weekend and tourist bit such a success. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am really pleased that I came! I have learnt such a lot about your country and it is always good to make new dancing friends!

I shall now have to start saving up so that I can come on the next one! I do so hope that the dates will not clash with anything that I am running over here!

Thank you for your phenominal organisation of the Budapest Dance Weekend and Tour. I probably enjoyed every single minute of it. When I have had a bit of sleep here at home I will be ready for a return visit at some time. It was a wonderful introduction to Hungary and, thanks to all our "guides", we got the best out of every excursion. The Hungarian dancing and musicians at our final Dinner were a splendid conclusion and finale to our visit. I danced every dance each evening, owing to an excellent supply of willing Partners, good music, and MC's.

It was the most wonderful holiday, and certainly the best that I have had for many years. Each aspect was planned and carried out meticulously, and to feed us all so well in so many different ways was a feat in itself. The whole holiday was magical and I will never forget sailing up the Danube on the amphibious coach and seeing all the bridges, palaces, churches etc. floodlit - so romantic;

The thermal baths, the trip to Pecs and to Erzsgom and to Slovakia, briefly, and the final evening in the restaurant being entertained by the Hungarian band and folk dancers, and listening to the Japanese singing when they have had such tragedy at home, will live with me for ever.

I know we said it in person, but I would just like to put on record our appreciation of all that you and the BSTK did for us to make our time in Hungary so enjoyable. It was great to have such good teaching and to be able to dance with younger people who are so enthusiastic -- even though it was a little tiring and we have come home for a rest!! The tourist programme was a great introduction to your country, and Margaret says it is one of the best holidays she has ever had.

This is just to say THANK YOU so much for all your hard work; you did a brilliant job of organising an extremely complex event which was a huge success.

Please pass on my particular thanks to Agnes, Flora and all the committee who worked so hard to provide all the participants with such a delightful vacation.

Thank you and your team for the super time we had in Budapest. You are all the tops and if and when in Edinburgh please contact when we can arrange to meet up. It was very clever to arrange good weather too!

Words cannot express what a wonderful time I had during the trip to Hungary. Many thanks to you and your fellow dancers who put together such a splendid program and were so thoughtful even about the small details.

Also, I was memorized by the Hungarian dancing at the stadium, and it would be worth a trip back to Hungary just to enjoy the entire festival. I understand the dancing goes until 4:00 in the morning. All the costumes and crafts were so beautiful. I also enjoyed the ceildh on Saturday night--so many young people--and such a nice method of getting newcomers acquainted with Scottish dancing.
